Vijayawada: Health minister Satya Kumar Yadav has challenged former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to legally move the public-private-partnership (PPP) mode of development.

“Let us see how much courage you can muster to send the proponents of the PPP mode to jail,” he said while addressing the media here on Thursday.

The minister lambasted the former CM for his remarks against the PPP mode of development and his remark that he would send to jail the contractors involved in construction of buildings for medical colleges under PPP move.

Yadav recalled how Jagan Mohan Reddy’s father and former chief minister late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy took up several projects in the PPP mode.

He advised Jagan Mohan Reddy to recollect how the health scheme during the YSRC rule was implemented with the participation of private parties.

The minister asserted that the state government was so strong that nobody could deter it from doing good to the people.
