Hanuman Jayanti Celebrations Held at Kovur

NELLORE: Hanuman Jayanti celebrations were held with religious fervour across SPSR Nellore district on Tuesday.

At Kovur’s Sri Veeranjaneya Swamy temple, Kovur MLA Vemireddy Prashanthi Reddy attended the festivities as chief guest. Accompanied by Andhra Pradesh Waqf Board chairman Abdul Aziz and state environmental board chairman Polamreddy Dinesh Reddy, she offered special prayers and sought the blessings of Lord Hanuman for the welfare and prosperity of the people.

As part of the celebrations, Kovur Telugu Desam town president Intha Mallareddy fulfilled his vow of offering 1,001 coconuts following the alliance government’s victory in the previous general elections. Prashanthi Reddy participated in the ritual by breaking coconuts and offering prayers to the deity.

Several alliance leaders, party workers and devotees, including Pobbareddy Mallikarjuna Reddy, Gadiraju Ashok, Tatiparthi Vijay Kumar Reddy, Bellamkonda Govindu, Sai Jayanth, Dandoori Sujith and Natakarani Venkat took part in the programme.
