Guntur Police Film On Drug Abuse To Hit Cinema Halls

VIJAYAWADA: The Guntur district police’s campaign film ‘Drugs Vaddu Bidda’ (Say No to Drugs, Child) will soon be screened in cinema halls, local television channels and on social media to create awareness among youngsters about drug abuse.
Film director and MAAP founder Dilip Raja handed over the film to Guntur district superintendent of police Vakul Jindal at his office in Guntur on Friday. A preview of the film had recently been screened in the city, he said.
Raja said the film aimed to create awareness among youngsters and protect them from drug abuse. The Guntur district police produced the campaign film, which was conceived and directed by Raja.
Jindal said the film also sought to sensitise parents to the possibility of children falling into harmful habits. He urged parents to keep a close watch on their children’s college attendance and behaviour and look out for signs of addiction.
Senior actors Narasimha Raju, Bhavani Kapoor, Style Ravi, Ramya Rathod, Samudrala Sridhar Sharma, Ramesh Varma, Varanasi Patrudu, Lakshmi and Saidulu Yadav acted in the film.
