Grand Srirama Navami celebrations in Godavari districts

KAKINADA: The celestial marriage of God Srirama and Goddess Sitha was performed in a grand manner on the eve of Srirama Navami festival on Sunday across the Vaishnava and Shiva temples and by many private entities.
The faithful participated in the programmes with great devotion and fervour in Kakinada, Eluru, Konaseema, East and West Godavari districts. The Sriramanavami celebrations were held with devotion at the Lord Satyanarayana Murthy Temple in Annavaram, the Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Dwaraka Tirumala in Eluru District, the Lord Kodanda Ramaswamy Temple in Gollalamamidada in Bikkavolu mandal, the Visweswara Swamy Temple in Kakinada, the Kukkuteswara Swamy Temple in Pithapuram and other areas. BJP state president D Purandeswari participated in the celebrations at the Lord Ramalaya Temple in AV Apparao Road in Rajamahendravaram. She performed poojas and offered prayers to the god and goddess.
Former MP, M Bharat, organised Srirama Navami celebrations. Former MP Vundavilli Aruna Kumar, former MLAs Rowthu Surya Prakasa Rao, Sathi Suryanarayana Reddy and others were present. Anaparthi MLA Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy visited temples and participated in Srirama Navami celebrations in Anaparthi constituency.
