Govt Defends Mega DSC-2025, Rejects Allegations Over Recruitment Process
He stated that the examination system incorporated encryption, cybersecurity safeguards, access controls and audit mechanisms. No official complaint or evidence of a question paper leak had been received, he added.
Vijayawada:The Andhra Pradesh government on Saturday rejected allegations surrounding Mega DSC-2025 and maintained that the teacher recruitment exercise was conducted transparently and in accordance with prescribed rules and legal provisions.
Addressing a press conference in Amaravati, education secretary Kona Sasidhar said all stages of the recruitment process were carried out in compliance with notified rules, government orders and statutory requirements. He alleged that claims being circulated through sections of the media and social media were misleading and intended to create confusion among aspirants.
Sasidhar said Mega DSC-2025 was the first major teacher recruitment exercise in the state since 2018. A total of 16,347 vacancies were notified and around 3.36 lakh candidates applied.
According to the Secretary, the recruitment process was completed within 145 to 148 days despite facing 241 court cases, including one before the Supreme Court, and 226 legal challenges during various stages of implementation. Appointment orders were issued to 15,941 selected candidates.
Rejecting allegations of question paper leakage, Sasidhar said the examinations were conducted through the TCS iON computer-based testing platform. He said 89 examination sessions were held across 154 centres, including 19 centres outside Andhra Pradesh, with question papers generated through a randomised question bank containing nearly 42,000 questions.
He stated that the examination system incorporated encryption, cybersecurity safeguards, access controls and audit mechanisms. No official complaint or evidence of a question paper leak had been received, he added.
Officials also denied allegations of data deletion or manipulation, stating that answer keys, normalised scores, merit lists and selection records had been published according to schedule and remained available for verification. Candidate details, scores and rankings were released publicly, while SMS alerts were sent to applicants.
The government said reservation policies, including horizontal reservations and SC sub-classification, were implemented in accordance with applicable norms. It also highlighted the implementation of a three per cent sports quota, under which 421 posts were earmarked.
Sasidhar said nearly 33,000 grievances submitted by candidates were examined through a three-tier grievance redressal mechanism.
Describing Mega DSC-2025 as a large-scale recruitment exercise, the Education Secretary said the process was completed with scientific normalisation procedures, security measures, grievance redressal mechanisms and adherence to legal requirements.
