AP Emerging As An Education And Innovation Hub: Governor Abdul Nazeer

Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer interacted with students from Maharashtra visiting the State under the Yuva Sangam programme, organised as part of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative.

Amaravati: Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, while highlighting Andhra Pradesh’s growth, stated that it was fast emerging as an education and innovation hub with several premier institutions, including AIIMS Mangalagiri, IIT Tirupati, IISER Tirupati, and IIM Visakhapatnam.

He was interacting with students from Maharashtra who were visiting the State under the Yuva Sangam programme, organised as part of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative, at Lok Bhavan in Vijayawada. Addressing graduate, postgraduate, and research scholars from various educational institutions, the Governor said AP and Maharashtra share strong historical, cultural, and trade connections.

The State has emerged as a major investment destination and a leading exporter of marine products, the Governor said, and that  Amaravati is being developed as a smart and sustainable capital city with world-class infrastructure and innovation-driven projects such as the Amaravati Quantum Valley.
As part of the visit, the student delegation also toured the APCRDA Headquarters at Rayapudi in Amaravati. Officials briefed the students on the development of Amaravati Capital City and showcased key infrastructure projects at the Amaravati Integrated Command and Control Centre, including the Assembly, High Court, and government complex.
