Government Schools Poised to Deliver Better Results: NTR District Collector
The collector said teachers and education officials are working in coordination to ensure holistic development of students and improve learning outcomes.
Vijayawada: NTR district collector Dr G. Lakshmisha on Thursday requested parents to enrol their children in government schools, as public educational institutions are now providing quality education with modern infrastructure and learning opportunities on par with private schools.
Inaugurating an Education Expo organised by the district education department at the Collectorate premises, the collector said NTR district is aiming to surpass last year’s academic performance and had prepared a special action plan for the current academic year.
Addressing media later, Dr Lakshmisha said teachers and education department officials had worked extensively during the previous academic year to identify and nurture student talent, resulting in encouraging outcomes. He recounted that government schools are being strengthened through modern teaching methods, improved infrastructure, skill development programmes, and technology-based learning.
The Education Expo has been organised in the Collectorate to create awareness among parents about the facilities, educational opportunities, and achievements of government schools. The exhibition showcased infrastructure development, academic performance, value-based education, skill enhancement initiatives, and technology-enabled learning practices being implemented across the district.
The collector said teachers and education officials are working in coordination to ensure holistic development of students and improve learning outcomes. He stressed the importance of parental participation and public support in strengthening government education.
Referring to last year’s SSC results, Dr. Lakshmisha said 31 students from government high schools in the district had secured more than 580 marks. He attributed the achievement to initiatives taken by the state government and the School Education department.
The collector congratulated education officials, teachers, headmasters, and parents for their contribution. He expressed confidence that government schools would achieve even better results in the years ahead.
