Dowleswaram: Godavari Flood Eases, Alert Continues For Riverine Villages
The APSDMA has said that the intensity of the Godavari flood at the Dowleswaram Barrage in East Godavari district has eased slightly, though people living in riverine villages have been advised to remain alert.

Rajahmahendravaram: The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) has said that the intensity of the Godavari flood at the Dowleswaram Barrage in East Godavari district has eased slightly, though people living in riverine villages have been advised to remain alert until floodwaters recede completely. As of Sunday, the inflow at the Dowleswaram Barrage stood at 14.1 lakh cusecs.
"The flood intensity at the Dowleswaram Barrage has eased slightly. However, people living in lanka (riverine) villages should remain alert until the floodwaters recede completely," APSDMA Managing Director Prakhar Jain said.
He said light to moderate rainfall accompanied by lightning is likely at isolated places in Parvathipuram Manyam, Alluri Sitharama Raju and Polavaram districts on Monday. Light rainfall is also likely at isolated places in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, West Godavari, Krishna, NTR, Guntur, Bapatla, Palnadu and Rayalaseema districts, he added
