Gayatri’s Parents Meet Dehradun DSP Over Dowry Death Case
Gayatri’s parents, P. Sudhakar and P. Satyavathi, were informed that a police team had been sent to the residence of the accused, S. Sricharan, in Delhi.
Visakhapatnam:The parents of Radha Gayatri met deputy superintendent of police J.C. Pant in Dehradun, where the officer recorded their statements in connection with the alleged dowry death case.
Gayatri’s parents, P. Sudhakar and P. Satyavathi, were informed that a police team had been sent to the residence of the accused, S. Sricharan, in Delhi.
According to the police, a case has been registered under provisions relating to dowry death. The DSP told the family that the accused was absconding and was frequently switching off his mobile phone, which had delayed his arrest. He assured them that efforts were underway to apprehend him at the earliest.
Pant requested the couple to remain in Dehradun and assured them of full cooperation from the police while the investigation continued.
Earlier, Sudhakar and Satyavathi met director of Sainik Welfare Lieutenant Colonel Virendra Bhatt and sought support for a comprehensive investigation into their daughter's death. Sudhakar, an ex-serviceman, appealed to the directorate to take up the matter with the authorities concerned to help ensure a thorough probe.
