FM Payyavula Keshav Presents AP Budget 2025-26

Payyavula Keshav has presented the full-fledged budget with an outlay of 3.22 lakh crore for 2025-26 in the state assembly

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh government on Friday presented a Budget for over Rs 3.22 lakh crore for 2025-26 fiscal with an estimated revenue expenditure of Rs 2.51 lakh crore and capital expenditure of over Rs 40,000 crore.

Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav while presenting the Budget in the state Assembly said the estimated revenue deficit is around Rs 33,185 crore (1.82 per cent of the GSDP) and the fiscal deficit is around Rs 79,926 crore (4.38 per cent of the GSDP). The budget proposes Rs.47,456 crore for the BC component while school education got an allocation of Rs. 31,805 crore for 2025-26.

The Budget proposes to allocate Rs 19,264 crore for the Health, Medical and Family Welfare Department for 2025-26.

The Panchayati Raj & Rural Development Department, a portfolio held by Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, got Rs.18,847 crore for 2025-26.

In his speech Keshav said the government is presenting the budget in the backdrop of the financial destruction caused by the previous regime. It has been a highly complex task, because the previous regime created financial chaos in every department.

School Education - Rs 31,805 Cr

Higher Education- Rs 2,506 Cr

SC Welfare - Rs 20,281 Cr

ST Welfare- Rs 8,159 Cr

BC Welfare- Rs 47,456 Cr

Minorities Welfare - Rs 5,434 Cr

Women and Child Welfare - Rs 4,332 Cr

Medical, Health and Family Welfare - Rs19,264 Cr

Panchayat Raj- Rs 18,847 Cr

Muncipal. Urban Development - Rs 13,862 Cr

Housing Department- Rs 6,318 Cr

Water Resources Department - Rs 18,019 Cr

Industries and Commerce Departmennt- Rs 3,156 Cr

Energy Department- Rs 13,600 Cr

Roads and Buildings Department- Rs 8,785 Cr

Youth, Tourism and Culture Department - Rs 469 Cr

Housing Ministry- Rs  8,570 Cr

Development of Telugu language - Rs 10 Cr

Jal Jeevan Mission - Rs 2,800 Cr

Agriculture allied sectors - Rs 13,487 Cr

Civil Supplies Department - Rs 3,806 Cr
