Five Additional Judges Sworn In at AP High Court
Other judges, AP Bar Council members, High Court Advocates Association members, senior advocates and judicial officers were present.
Vijayawada:Andhra Pradesh High Court Chief Justice Lisa Gill administered the oath of office to five additional judges at a programme held on the High Court premises at Nelapadu in Amaravati, Guntur district, on Monday.
The judges sworn in were Justice Maheswara Rao Kuncheam alias Kuncham, Justice Thoota Chandra Dhana Sekar alias TCD Sekhar, Justice Challla Gunaranjan, Justice Avadhanam Hari Haranadha Sarma and Justice Dr Yadavalli Lakshmana Rao.
The Union ministry of law and justice had recently issued a notification appointing the five judges after President Droupadi Murmu approved their appointment following the recommendation of the Supreme Court Collegium at its meeting on September 23.
