Minor Fire Erupts at Tirumala Laddu Counter Due to Short Circuit

 Tirupati: A minor fire broke out at the 47th counter of the Srivari Laddu distribution centre near the hill temple in Tirumala on Monday, causing a scare among devotees. The incident occurred due to a short circuit in the UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) system connected to the computer setup at the counter.

Flames erupted from the UPS, filling the area with smoke, but the fire did not spread beyond the immediate area. The situation caused panic among the devotees, who were present at the time. However, thanks to the swift action of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) staff, the fire was quickly extinguished.

The damaged computer system was soon restored, and the laddu distribution continued without further disruption. TTD officials informed that no major damage occurred, and operations resumed promptly. They assured that measures will be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.
