ANANTAPUR: A quarrel between a couple led to a familicide that claimed the lives of four individuals, including their one-year-old son. The incident, which occurred in Kadapa, also resulted in their grandmother's death from cardiac arrest due to shock.

Sources reported that Sriramulu, 35, and his wife Sireesha, 30, were living at Sankarapuram in Kadapa district, along with their one-year-old son, Ruthvik. Sriramulu's grandmother, Subbamma, was also residing with them.

The couple had been arguing for several days and their conflict escalated into a fight on Sunday. Subbamma expressed her frustration towards her grandson, urging him to resolve the issue.

Frustrated by the ongoing disputes, Sriramulu, on Sunday night, took Sireesha and their son and went to the Kadapa railway station, where they fell under a moving freight train around 11 pm. The three died on the third track at the station.

Meanwhile, Subbamma, who was searching for the trio when they failed to return home, suffered cardiac arrest due to the shock of the situation. The Kadapa railway police registered a case based on a complaint by their relatives. The bodies of Sriramulu, Sireesha and Ruthvik were sent for post-mortem.
