Ex-MLA Accuses Andhra Pradesh Speaker of Misleading Court in Controversial Project
Ganesh maintained that the YSRC party would continue to seek legal remedies, asserting that serious violations call for accountability from those in power.
Visakhapatnam: Former MLA Petla Uma Shankar Ganesh on Friday accused State Legislative Assembly speaker Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu of misleading the AP High Court and violating its orders with regard to the controversial Srushti Kshetram project in Narsipatnam of Anakapalli district.
Speaking to media at the YSRC party office in Visakhapatnam, Ganesh alleged that Ayyanna Patrudu has submitted a false affidavit denying any connections with the Srushti Kshetram project.
The former MLA said how such a thing could happen when the project is being implemented by Shiv Foundation, which is linked to Patrudu’s daughter-in-law.
Ganesh wondered why district authorities failed to take any action despite the High Court directives. He pointed out that construction at the Srushti Kshetram is continuing illegally, damaging the environment of Pedda Cheruvu, where the project is being implemented.
The former MLA accused Ayyanna Patrudu and the latter’s son of profiting from unauthorised laterite quarrying, while the YSRCP workers opposing the illegal activity are being falsely implicated in legal cases.
Ganesh maintained that the YSRC party would continue to seek legal remedies, asserting that serious violations call for accountability from those in power.
