Kurnool: EAGLE Inspector General Ake Ravi Krishna said that creating a drug-free society is their ultimate goal, and stressed that people must unite to eliminate drugs while staying alert against cybercrimes.
He was addressing students at Asoka Women’s Engineering College in Dupadu on Saturday as part of the “Drugs Vaddu Bro” awareness programme.
Ravi Krishna urged students to avoid taking the wrong path, concentrate on their studies, and stay aware of the dangers posed by narcotics such as cannabis. He emphasised that drugs not only destroy individuals but also devastate families and contribute to crimes against children and youth.
During the programme, the IG released posters carrying strong messages, including warnings such as “Drugs ruin lives and families”, “Children fall victim to drug-related crimes”, and “Students get trapped in drug cases”.
He reminded the public that the state government has established the EAGLE Anti-Drug Task Force. He encouraged people to provide information on drug cultivation, trafficking, or usage by calling the toll-free number 1972, assuring that all tip-offs would remain confidential.
