Dwaraka Tirumala Temple Hundi Collections Cross ₹2 Crore in 15 Days
According to the executive officer, the hundi included 13 old ₹2,000 currency notes, one demonetised ₹1,000 note and eight old ₹500 notes

Kakinada: Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, popularly known as “Chinna Tirupati”, at Dwaraka Tirumala in Eluru district recorded hundi collections of ₹2,06,21,000 over the past 15 days.
Temple executive officer V. Trinadha Rao said the hundi counting process was conducted under tight security arrangements.
He said devotees had also offered 281 grams of gold and 2.887 kg of silver during the period.
According to the executive officer, the hundi included 13 old ₹2,000 currency notes, one demonetised ₹1,000 note and eight old ₹500 notes.
Foreign currency from various countries was also found in the hundi offerings, he added.
