Durgesh Urges Youth to Embrace AI, Quantum Computing
The minister said the government was providing financial incentives and business support under the New Tourism Policy 2024-29 to promote investment in tourism infrastructure
KAKINADA: Tourism, culture and cinematography minister Kandula Durgesh on Sunday said Andhra Pradesh is emerging as a frontrunner in adopting advanced technologies and urged the youth to seize opportunities in fields such as artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum computing to drive innovation and economic growth.
Addressing a preparatory meeting for Global Business Meet-Samakhya 2026, organised by the Chamber of Commerce in Rajamahendravaram, the minister said financial empowerment through entrepreneurship was essential and encouraged young people to become job creators rather than job seekers.
He said the coalition government was committed to creating a business-friendly ecosystem and would extend full support to entrepreneurs and start-ups. Durgesh unveiled the poster for the Global Business Meet, scheduled to be held in Hyderabad from October 13 to 15, and described it as a platform capable of transforming the state's industrial landscape.
He urged entrepreneurs from the Godavari region to make use of the opportunities offered by the event, calling it a "golden opportunity" for aspiring industrialists and innovators.

Investors establishing resorts, hotels, amusement parks and adventure tourism projects in partnership with reputed companies and brands would receive full support from the tourism department, he added.
Durgesh said East Godavari district had recorded significant growth in agriculture, aquaculture, sericulture and horticulture, and stressed the need to strengthen the industrial and technology sectors to achieve balanced economic development.
