Drunken teacher assaults schoolgirls, suspended

Kurnool: A teacher has been suspended for hitting girl students after they found his liquor bottles in the school toilet. The incident happened at Muddatamagi Model Primary School in Holagunda mandal on Monday.

The teacher, Jayaraju, came to school drunk. When some girl students saw liquor bottles in the toilet and reported it, he got angry and beat them. The parents complained to mandal education officer Jagannatham about this incident. After receiving the complaint, the mandal education officer reported it to district education officer Samuel Paul, who then suspended Jayaraju with immediate effect.
