Dharmavaram Police Rescue Abducted Farmer
Dharmavaram police have registered a case of kidnapping against Ravindra and his associates.
Anantapur: Dharmavaram police have rescued a landowning farmer who had been abducted by his rivals when the farmer went to submit a representation at the RDO office in Dharmavaram of Satya Sai district on Friday.
Sources said Narayana, a farmer from Mudigubba mandal, has been in a dispute with M. Ravindra of Mudigubba over agricultural land since the past few years.
Narayana lodged a complaint with police and revenue authorities seeking justice.
On Friday Narayana proceeded to the RDO office in Dharmavaram to submit another complaint against Ravindra. But Narayana’s rivals waylaid and kidnapped him in a car.
When Narayana’s family came to know about the abduction, they alerted police who formed teams to rescue the farmer.
During their search, Dharmavaram police found the abductors and rescued Narayana from them, before handing him over to his family members.
