Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu warned the collectors, ministers, secretaries and HoDs that delay in decisions would not be tolerated. Expressing severe displeasure over the time taken to clear files at the collector level, he asked them why were they not able to show the same interest as on WhatsApp messages on clearing the files. Are you not able to sit without the phones at least for a few hours, he asked.

The CM was addressing the officials at the Collectors' Conference. How dare the officials are absent to the Collectors' Conference? He directed the Chief Secretary to take explanation from all the officials keeping the files pending. At the same time, he warned that in the coming days, he would collect all the opinions of the lax officials.

It is taking a long time for the clearance of files at ministers Ramprasad Reddy, Kollu Ravindra and Payyavula Keshav, he pointed out.

Naidu said that he too was taking 4 days to clear some files, but he insisted that a few ministers, including the Home Minister, expedite file clearance.

He made it clear that clearance of files on a daily basis would have an impact on the governance and hence, officials should respond early to provide tangible results to the people and government.
