Custodial Death of Youth: HC Directs AP to File Counter

Vijayawada:The Andhra Pradesh High Court has directed the state government to file its counter affidavit in response to an interlocutory application filed by Gade Saikrishna’s mother Vijaya Lakshmi seeking a CBI probe into the custodial death of her son in Krishna Lanka police station.
A two-judge bench comprising Justice Battu Devanand and Justice Gedela Tuhin Kumar heard the petition here on Wednesday and directed the state government to file its counter. It adjourned the matter for its hearing next week.
