Court Allows TV, Home Food, Visits for Midhun Reddy in Jail
Midhun Reddy is allowed to use an iron cot, blankets, pillows, drinking water bottles, a cooler, writing materials, table, and possibly a television, with all expenses borne by him.
Vijayawada: The ACB court has permitted YSRC MP P.V. Midhun Reddy, currently in judicial remand at Rajamahendravaram Central Prison, to avail certain amenities while in custody in the AP liquor scam case.
He is allowed to use an iron cot, blankets, pillows, drinking water bottles, a cooler, writing materials, table, and possibly a television, with all expenses borne by him. The court said food could be brought from outside subject to an undertaking.
The court also directed that medical care be provided, including treatment outside jail if needed. Reddy can meet advocates thrice a week, and family/relatives twice a week.
The decision came after jail officials submitted a counter affidavit responding to Monday’s court order regarding Reddy’s jail conditions.
