CM Urges Devotees To Serve As Srivari Sevaks in All Temples
CM seeks local volunteers, reviews key departments at Secretariat RTGS facility
Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has called upon devotees to perform Srivari Seva on a voluntary basis in all temples across Andhra Pradesh.
Naidu on Monday reviewed the functioning of the revenue, agriculture, civil supplies, health, transport, fire service and endowments departments at the RTGS facility in the Secretariat.
He said, “There is a need to appoint local volunteers in all the temples to serve as Srihari Sevaks. A list of such volunteers must be prepared. Several devotees are ready to serve the god. They would come forward to do so. We should encourage such people to serve the lord as is already being done in Srisailam.”
As for the health department, he called for improving the amenities at PHCs, Urban PHCs, CHCs and district hospitals. District collectors must focus their attention on such departments and solve their issues. “You must also do a regular review on the functioning of government offices and hospitals at the ground level, so as to provide better services. Make doctors available in the government hospitals,” he told the collectors.
Naidu said the land surveys should be error-free. There should be no trouble to those who sought the survey. The revenue department must work accordingly, he said, and advised it to erase the bad name it earned in relation to corruption.
He said there should be no complaints in the purchase of paddy. Officials must conduct regular soil tests and bring about awareness among farmers on usage of fertilizers. There, he said, are ways of using less quantity of urea to get a good crop.
The Chief Minister called upon the transport department to improve its performance. He said there was a need to set up more automated driving testing centres across the state. He appreciated the functioning of the fire services department.
