Vijayawada:Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath has said public representatives from Vijayawada Parliamentary constituency, along with the district collector, had jointly taken several civic and infrastructure-related issues to the chief minister recently.

“The CM has responded favourably to our pleas and promised early solutions to all the pending matters,” the MP said.

Participating in a Praja Darbar organised in the 45th Division of Vijayawada West constituency, the MP said the grievance redressal initiative was receiving an encouraging response from the public, with residents attending it in large numbers and presenting a wide range of civic, welfare and pension-related issues.

Chinni said the Praja Darbar programme was being conducted successfully under the guidance of the CM and others. Many of the complaints being brought before the government were linked to unresolved problems and the administrative difficulties faced by people during the previous government’s tenure, he said.

The MP directly interacted with residents, received petitions from beneficiaries and urged the officials to respond immediately to the grievances and ensure speedy resolution of the issues.

Referring to complaints relating to pensions, Kesineni Chinni said the government was preparing to introduce a new policy on pensions shortly to address beneficiary concerns in a more effective manner. He assured the people that the state government remained committed to implementing welfare measures and maintaining a people-centric administration.

He announced that GO-30 would soon be implemented to regularise eligible beneficiaries and issue land ownership pattas.

Several party leaders, corporation representatives and local functionaries participated in the programme.
