CM Naidu Calls for Technology-Driven Governance in 2026

He particularly highlighted the importance of using artificial intelligence to enhance government outreach and responsiveness.

Vijayawada: Naidu chaired a review meeting with the senior officials from various departments on Real Time Governance System (RTGS) on Monday. He called for enhanced usage of Artificial Intelligence in all the government services and directed the officials to use AI in order to resolve the grievances in an expeditious manner.

Naidu wanted 2026 to be transformed as the ‘Year of technology driven decision making year.’ He asked the officials to use state-of-the-art technology in the day-to-day governance so that it would help bring down the work burden on the ground level employees. He felt the need to train those who were not having the requisite technical competence and ensure continuous monitoring so that it would help realise the desired goals in the state’s governance.

Naidu wished that technology based governance would help resolve several issues, and called upon the senior officials to encourage the employees to use technology in a big way to ensure quick and proper delivery of services.

He stated that through the Mana Mitra WhatsApp governance, “we were able to provide 878 government services to the people through internet, direct access method. So far 1.43 crore people availed several services under this system, he said, and underscored the importance to bring about more awareness on WhatsApp services to enable more people to avail such services without going to the government offices to meet the officers repeatedly to get their works done.

Later, the CM reviewed the functioning of departments like health, agriculture, revenue, roads and buildings, transport, fire service etc. He suggested them to focus on speedy deliverance of governance by addressing issues that crop up in day-to-day governance and ensure use of technology in a big way.
