Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu interacted with farmers to know about their problems during his visit to Sidhantham village of Penugonda mandal in West Godavari district on Monday.

The CM’s outreach was in the context of the state government taking up the land resurvey and issuing secure and error-free pattadar passbooks to land-holders.

Naidu spoke to farmer couple Diwakara Srinivasulu and Nagalakshmi and visited their farmland where the duo explained to him that they were not aware their land was registered as an Inam land. However, after the alliance government started the land resurvey programme, their problem got resolved, they said.

He interacted with poultry farmer Mamidisetti Sai Subramanayam, who spoke about his poultry business and shared his opinion with regard to the ongoing land resurvey programme.

Several farmers informed the CM that they faced hardships with regard to change of Inam lands as freehold lands in 2023, and hence faced trouble to get farm loans, or to sell their lands or take up their registration.

The CM handed over the farmer their pattadar passbooks and stood for a group photo with them.

Naidu also met his ardent fan, Satyanarayana from Kamadhenuvulanka village in West Godavari, by calling him into his bus and inquired about his family and health. He told the CM that his son was suffering from some health problem and sought medical assistance.

The CM promised to provide medical treatment to his son and directed the district collector to construct a house and give it to him.

Satyanarayana longed to see the CM. A video clip in which he expressed his desire to personally meet and see Naidu during his visit to West Godavari district went viral on social media platforms. Following this, Naidu made a promise that he would meet the elderly men at Siddantham.
