AP CM Defends DSC Recruitment, Warns Attackers of Action
CM N. Chandrababu Naidu defended the DSC 2025 recruitment process, denied corruption or paper leaks and warned of action against those attacking teachers.
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Monday warned of action against those attacking teachers over the DSC recruitment issue and asserted that there was no corruption or question paper leak in the recruitment process.
Addressing a public meeting at Kuppam, Naidu said teachers who secured jobs through DSC 2025 had earned them through their hard work. He said 14 DSC examinations and several APPSC examinations had been conducted during his tenure without paper leaks or manipulation.
Naidu said the government had issued a mega DSC notification after 2024 and filled 16,000 teacher posts. Some 355 petitions had been filed in an attempt to stop the recruitment, but the government had “responded to the allegations and completed the appointments.”
The CM criticised the YSRC for raising questions over the recruitment process nearly a year after the appointments. The recruited teachers themselves had rejected the allegations, he said, and cited their protests at Kondareddy Buruju in Kurnool, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam.
Naidu said legal questions over the recruitment could be raised in court, but there was no justification for attacking teachers. Teachers were attacked during the protests in Vijayawada. Notably, an Army veteran had secured a teacher post in Kuppam.
“A teacher was called out of a school and humiliated by a reporter,” he noted.
He also alleged that sports certificates issued during the previous government were now being questioned despite these having been used for recruitment.
“If YSRC MLAs attend the Assembly sessions, we will show the proof of the fair recruitment process," Naidu said, challenging the opposition to a debate on the issue in the house.
Naidu accused the previous YSRC government of causing damage to the state between 2019 and 2024. “They called Amaravati a graveyard, but now they are unable to tolerate its development", he said.
The CM challenged the YSRC to respond to allegations over J Brand liquor and irregularities in APPSC. He appealed to people to support the alliance candidates in the forthcoming local body elections, saying every ward and panchayat should support the government’s development agenda.
