Civic Polls: Lokesh Tells Leaders To Ensure TD Win With Huge Majority
Nara Lokesh urged TD, Jana Sena and BJP leaders to work together for a big alliance victory in the upcoming local body polls.
Telugu Desam national general secretary and education minister Nara Lokesh has called upon its leaders and cadre to work for a huge majority for the alliance candidates in the coming local body polls.
Addressing leaders and cadre at the Narasaraopeta assembly constituency coordination meeting in Palnadu district on Wednesday, Lokesh said the Telugu Desam, Jana Sena and BJP would contest the elections as an alliance. He expressed confidence that the alliance would win not only the elections in 2029 but also get power for the next three terms.
He said minor differences among the alliance parties could be resolved through talks and ruled out any misunderstandings among the leaders and cadre of the three parties.
Lokesh said the “double engine bullet train government” in the state has fast-paced AP’s development. The central government was extending support for several welfare schemes and for payment of wages and pensions.
He advised party cadre not to be egoistic, remain connected with the people and work together as a team for victory. He also called upon them to complete the party’s door-to-door campaign on a war footing.
Lokesh denounced groupism within the party, saying the Telugu Desam would remain as a single group. He cautioned leaders and cadre that some people might try to create groupism in the party and asked them not to fall into such a trap.
Referring to allegations of anomalies in the teacher recruitment exercise through the DSC to fill nearly 16,000 posts, Lokesh said the government had overcome 150 cases in 150 days and conducted the Mega DSC. He said three more DSCs would be conducted to fill additional teacher posts in the state.
Lokesh criticised the opposition leader for not knowing the difference between the DSC and the APPSC and said it was unfortunate that the people of the state had such a leader. He reiterated that he was ready to debate the allegations of anomalies with YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The education minister also said he would take responsibility for conducting Group-1 and Group-2 examinations and the recruitment exercise to fulfill the aspirations of lakhs of unemployed youth seeking jobs.
