Chain Snatcher Held Within Hours in Tirumala

Tirumala: A man allegedly snatched a gold chain from a woman devotee while she was walking on a road in Tirumala on Friday.

The victim lodged a complaint with the police, following which officers immediately launched an investigation. Police examined CCTV footage from the area and tried to trace the accused.

Within hours of the incident, the police tracked down and arrested the suspect.

According to the police, the accused has been identified as Suresh Kumar, a native of Tiruvallur district in Tamil Nadu.

Police reportedly traced and detained him near the Srivari Mettu footpath. He is being questioned in connection with the offence, and further investigation is underway.
