CEC Gyanesh Kumar Offers Prayers at Srisailam
Accompanied by family members, the CEC partook in rituals such as harati at 4.30 am, followed by abhishekam, kumkuma archana and vedasirvachanam at Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Varla Devasthanam, Srisailam temple, the official said.
Srisailam: Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar on Saturday visited prominent historical and cultural landmarks in Hyderabad along with his family members. He had arrived in the city in Hyderabad from Srisailam on Saturday afternoon.
CEC Kumar was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the Golconda Fort by Archaeological Survey of India officials who briefed him on the historical and architectural significance of the fort. He later visited the Hussainsagar and took a boat to the Buddha statue located in the middle of the lake. The Chief Election Commissioner visited the Charminar in the evening.
Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudarshan Reddy, additional chief electoral officer Lokesh Kumar, deputy chief electoral officer Satyavani, and other officials accompanied the CEC at Hussainsagar.
