VISAKHAPATNAM: TD candidate Pasala Neeraja defeated YSRC candidate Botsa Anusha, daughter of senior party leader and MLC Botsa Satyanarayana, by a margin of 5,136 votes in the Bondapalli ZPTC election in Vizianagaram district.
The result marks a setback for Anusha in her first direct electoral contest and a win for the TD in the district. According to the final count, Neeraja secured a decisive victory in the constituency.
TD leaders attributed the victory to grassroots campaigning and the planning of Minister Kondapalli Srinivas. They said door-to-door outreach and local-level mobilisation helped secure voter support.
TD workers and supporters celebrated the victory at the counting centre.
