Bhuvaneswari Asks Politicians Not To Drag Women Into Their Political Battles

Addressing devotees after offering prayers to Goddess Draupadi at the Dharmarajulu Swamy Temple in Yamaganapalli during her visit to Kuppam on Wednesday, Bhuvaneswari said her speech is not part of any political campaign, but a message on the importance of respecting women.

Drawing a parallel with the Mahabharata, she said Draupadi had been humiliated in the royal court to insult her family. She maintained that such attempts to target women for settling scores have no place in public life.

Referring to the remarks made against her during the previous YSRC government's tenure, Bhuvaneswari alleged that her character had been questioned in the assembly only to attack her husband Chandrababu Naidu politically.
She asserted that she has nothing to prove about her character.Her husband and the people of Andhra Pradesh know who she is. No one has the right to make personal remarks about her or any woman.

"If you have the courage, stand up and speak man to man. But do not drag a woman into it. I know who I am, and my husband knows who I am. People of the state also know me. I do not need to prove myself to anyone," Bhuvaneswari declared.

Thanking the people of the state for standing by her family during its difficult times, she said people supported Chandrababu Naidu, just as Lord Krishna had come to Draupadi's rescue. Bhuvaneswari recalled Naidu's detention in the alleged ₹26-crore case and the Alipiri Naxalite bomb attack, saying her family had faced many hardships and would always remain grateful to the people for their support.
