KURNOOL: Minister for industries and commerce T.G. Bharath on Sunday said his primary objective is to develop Kurnool city across all sectors and called upon the Telugu Desam cadre to work with dedication to resolve public issues.
He was speaking at the oath-taking ceremony of the newly formed TDP Kurnool Assembly constituency cluster, co-cluster, unit, ward and booth committees held in the city.
Administering the oath to the committee members, the minister said leaders with a strong commitment to public service would naturally get opportunities within the party. He stated that tickets for future elections would be decided based on surveys, recalling that he himself received the MLA ticket only after surveys confirmed his popularity among the people.
Bharath said the government plans to identify and resolve three major issues in every ward on a priority basis. He noted that house-site pattas were issued to Gudemkottala residents as promised by minister Nara Lokesh and assured development works in the A, B and C Camp areas of Kurnool city, including the construction of a High Court bench and a new collectorate building.
He also announced plans to develop an industrial corridor from Anantapur to Kurnool to attract large-scale industries.
Accusing political opponents of spreading false propaganda, Bharath warned of legal action against those circulating fake news and urged party cadres to effectively use social media to communicate the government’s achievements to the public.
TD city president Nagaraju Yadav, Bondili corporation chairman Vikram Singh, corporators and several party leaders attended the programme.
