Banana Tissue Culture Research Centre to Be Set Up in Tadipatri

Collector Dr Vinod Kumar informed the team about the availability of 50 acres of land near Talari Cheruvu in Tadipathri mandal, which is suitable for establishing the unit.

 Anantapur: To increase the banana production quality in Anantapur district, a tissue culture research centre will be set up in Tadipathri area, taking advantage of the favourable climatic conditions, rich soil and available water sources.

A team from BBSSL (Bharathiyar Beech Sahakari Samithi Ltd.) led by representative Paresh Desai, along with Research and Development representative Jaya Prakash and Tiwari, the representative in-charge of AP and Telanganag states, visited the available suitable government lands on Monday for setting up Banana Tissue Culture research unit and developing seeds of other horticulture crops in Tadipathri area.

Collector Dr Vinod Kumar informed the team about the availability of 50 acres of land near Talari Cheruvu in Tadipathri mandal, which is suitable for establishing the unit.

He highlighted the fertile soil, water sources and transport facilities for the crop production in the area. The Collector also said that a report would be submitted to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for approval.
