VIJAYAWADA: The Archaeological Survey of India discovered a Vijayanagara inscription engraved on a huge boulder at Nulividu village of Galividu mandal in Kadapa district in AP on Saturday.

The ASI director (epigraphy), K. Munirathnam Reddy, said that they made a new discovery of a Vijayanagara inscription with the help of a local schoolteacher and added that as the ASI was taking up a continuous awareness drive among the general public with regard to the historical importance of inscriptions and the need to preserve and protect them for the benefit of future generations, it helped them find the new inscription in Kadapa district in AP.
