The Pirated version of our Thandel played on the APSRTC Private Bus

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has issued strict anti-piracy guidelines after a passenger illegally streamed a pirated version of Thandel on a bus from Palasa Depot.

The passenger used the cast function on their mobile phone to stream the movie to the bus’s Android TV. In response, APSRTC suspended the bus from service on February 11, pending investigation.
New measures include disabling screen mirroring and casting functions on all buses. Drivers and conductors must monitor entertainment systems to prevent piracy, while surprise inspections will ensure compliance. Only APSRTC-approved content will be allowed.
The corporation warned of severe penalties under the Copyright Act of 1957. Depot Managers and District Public Transport Officers have been directed to enforce these rules and educate staff on anti-piracy laws.
