APSPDCL Wins Five National Awards At IPPAI Conference

APSPDCL secured top national rankings in five key areas, including thermal power generation, promotion of green hydrogen, implementation of smart metering, encouragement of rooftop solar power generation, and promotion of electric vehicles.

Tirupati: The Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (APSPDCL) has won five national-level awards at a power sector conference held in Karnataka. The awards were announced during the 26th National Conference of Regulators and Policymakers organised by the Independent Power Producers Association of India (IPPAI) at Belagavi from January 7 to 10.

According to the conference resolutions, APSPDCL secured top national rankings in five key areas, including thermal power generation, promotion of green hydrogen, implementation of smart metering, encouragement of rooftop solar power generation, and promotion of electric vehicles.
The awards were presented at the valedictory and awards ceremony held at Belagavi. APSPDCL director (projects & IT) P. Ayub Khan received the awards on behalf of chairman and managing director Shivashankar Lotheti. The awards were handed over by former Union power minister Suresh Prabhu, former Maharashtra chief secretary Ajay Mehta, and MERC chairperson Sanjay Kumar, along with IPPAI representatives.
Employees and staff of APSPDCL expressed happiness over the organisation receiving five national awards. Speaking on the occasion, CMD Shivashankar Lotheti said the recognition should inspire employees and staff to continue delivering strong performance and work towards achieving more such honours in the future.
