Vijayawada:Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA) G. Jayalakshmi announced that applications for regularising encroached government lands can now be submitted through Mee Seva centres and village and ward secretariats. The initiative aims to simplify the process and provide relief to underprivileged families.
Only lands occupied before October 15, 2019, will be considered under Government Order No. 30, which launched the Land Regularisation Scheme 2025. Applications will be accepted until December 31, 2025, with land titles issued exclusively in the names of women beneficiaries. Full ownership will be granted two years after approval.
Encroachments up to 150 square yards will be regularised free of cost. Charges apply for larger plots based on income category. Encroachments exceeding 450 square yards require payment of five times the basic land value. Non-compliance will lead to government reclamation.
Certain areas, including layout plots, canal embankments, riverbanks, and master plan zones, are ineligible. Applicants must meet income criteria, own no four-wheelers, and use brick-walled structures with RCC or asbestos roofs. Eligibility will be verified through property tax, electricity, and water bills.
