APNGO Association Asserts Employees’ Welfare Non-Negotiable

Vijayawada:Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers’ (APNGO) Association has reiterated that it will not retreat from resolving employees’ issues but continue pursuing their demands with sincerity and a positive approach, said APNGO state president A. Vidyasagar.
Addressing a large gathering after unanimous election of the Vijayawada city unit’s new executive body on Monday at the APNGO Home in Vijayawada, Vidyasagar recalled APNGO’s 75-year legacy, asserting that the association has always played a decisive role and even launched sustained struggles for securing every major facility enjoyed by the government employees today.
Vijayawada, he underlined, has historically served as the nerve centre of employees’ movements, with the city unit playing a crucial role even in the undivided state. He pointed out that several prominent leaders have emerged from the Vijayawada city unit due to their dedication and selfless service.
The APNGO state president maintained that over the past six months, representations made by the state association have received a positive response, particularly on key financial matters, in addition to reducing delays in medical services.
He said APNGO’s Association is pursuing its core demands, including constitution of the 12th Pay Revision Commission, release of DA arrears, medical reimbursement for employees, teachers and pensioners, regularisation of contract employees, notional increments for village and ward secretariat staff, and restoration of additional quantum for pensioners. He expressed confidence that there will be a favourable response from the government soon.
In the unanimous election, Ch. C.V.R. Prasad has been elected president of the Vijayawada city unit, while other office-bearers of the 21-member executive body are from multiple departments.
