APCRDA Allots 109 Returnable Plots to Amaravati Farmers

 VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) on Saturday allotted 109 returnable residential and commercial plots to farmers who pooled their land for the Amaravati capital project through a transparent e-lottery conducted at its headquarters in Rayapudi.

The beneficiaries belong to the capital region villages of Thulluru, Nelapadu, Rayapudi, Borupalem, Lingayapalem and Velagapudi.

The allotments covered both farmers who had recently surrendered land for the capital project and those seeking alternative returnable plots due to road alignments, pending court cases or plots falling in areas earmarked for land acquisition.

The e-lottery was conducted in the presence of the beneficiaries after a trial run of the online randomised system to ensure transparency.

A total of 25 farmers were allotted 109 returnable plots, comprising 74 residential and 35 commercial plots.

APCRDA director (Lands–Capital City) K.S. Bhagyarekha handed over provisional allotment certificates to the beneficiaries and urged them to complete the registration process at the earliest.

She said GIS personnel and village surveyors would assist the allottees in identifying the exact locations of their plots.

Special deputy collectors G. Sai Srinivasa Naik, P. Padmavathi, G. Muralidhar and M. Seshi Reddy, along with officials from the Planning, Lands and GIS wings of APCRDA, attended the programme.
