AP to Set Up Registration Seva Kendras for Easier Property Registration

The Andhra Pradesh government will start Registration Seva Kendras across the state to simplify property registration services on the lines of Passport Seva Kendras, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced on Monday.

Chairing a high-level review meeting with officials at the Secretariat, Naidu said the initiative was aimed at making registration services more accessible and efficient. The proposed RSKs would not amount to the privatization of sub-registrar offices.

Naidu directed the officials to create public awareness about the new system and explain that the RSKs would function on the lines of Passport Seva Kendras.

He also appealed to document writers not to panic over the move, assuring them that the government would explore alternative employment opportunities for them.

Reviewing the Deepam 2.0 scheme, the Chief Minister asked officials to ensure that subsidy amounts were credited to beneficiaries in a systematic manner. The civil supplies and finance departments must examine the feasibility of releasing subsidies on fixed dates before implementing the proposal.

Referring to the impact of El Niño, Naidu said Andhra Pradesh had recorded a 49 per cent rainfall deficit so far this year. Officials must formulate measures to mitigate its impact. Advise farmers on selection of suitable crops under prevailing conditions and encourage cultivation of dry crops, he said.

The CM also called for taking up works under the 'VB-G RAM G' programme and linking Jaladhara works to it. Stressing the need to improve governance, he said officials must identify potential issues in advance and resolve them proactively.

Naidu also reviewed the speed of disposal of public grievances and directed officials to examine petitions filed in public interest while also identifying habitual litigants filing repeated complaints. He said district collectors should scrutinise such petitions and ensure that genuine grievances, particularly those not involving financial implications, are resolved without delay.

Financial issues should be addressed on priority, he said.
