Visakhapatnam: Legislative Assembly Speaker Chintakayala Ayyannapatrudu has called for united efforts by the government and public to preserve and promote the Telugu language. Emphasising its role in education, he urged people to take pride in speaking their mother tongue and recalled Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao’s lifelong commitment to Telugu culture and self-respect.

The Speaker lauded Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for taking forward Telugu traditions and commended Dr Ghazal Srinivas, chairman of the Andhra Saraswatha Parishad, for organising the 3rd World Telugu Mahasabha. The event will be held in January 2026 in Amaravati.

Unveiling the conference logo in Visakhapatnam, Ayyannapatrudu described the Mahasabha as a unifying moment for Telugu speakers worldwide. Dr Srinivas said the Mahasabha would be Andhra Pradesh’s largest Telugu festival yet, to be held under the slogan “Andhra Meva Jayate.”

The event is expected to see participation from prominent personalities in politics, cinema and literature. Organisers hope the Telugu Mahasabha will ignite pride in the language and inspire collective efforts to preserve Andhra Pradesh’s rich cultural legacy.
