AP police excel in 68th All India Police Duty Meet
The 62-member contingent demonstrated exemplary skills winning four gold medals, one silver medal and two bronze medals, securing the second slot in the overall medal tally.

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh DGP Harish Kumar Gupta on Thursday congratulated the state police team for their outstanding performance securing multiple medals at the 68th All India Police Duty Meet at Ranchi in Jharkhand.
The 62-member contingent demonstrated exemplary skills winning four gold medals, one silver medal and two bronze medals, securing the second slot in the overall medal tally. This is the first time the AP police team has achieved medals across all categories in the Duty Meet.
Sub-inspector K. Krishnamurthy set a record by winning three gold medals in the personal categories of forensic science, criminal law and medico-legal streams. DGP Gupta praised Krishnamurthy and the entire team for their dedication and excellence.
The competition saw participation from 24 teams representing central and state armed forces from across the country. The AP team was led by DIG KKN Amburajan, along with other officials.
In individual categories, notable achievements included a gold medal in Room Search (B Sudheer, RSI), a silver medal in Police Photography (NN Surya Narayana, constable), a bronze medal in Vehicle Search (N Ramarao, HC) and another bronze medal in forensic science (V Ramesh, CI).
