Visakhapatnam: Patients at King George Hospital faced inconvenience on Wednesday after Out-Patient (OP) services were disrupted for nearly one-and-a-half hours due to a server malfunction.
Long queues formed at the Inpatient Case Sheets Counter, extending outside the building, forcing patients to wait in sweltering heat. Despite the growing rush, no additional counter was opened, leading to frustration among patients and attendants.
Hospital officials said the disruption was caused by a technical issue in the server system, temporarily affecting OP services.
The delay left hundreds of patients stranded, with many expressing anger over the lack of immediate response and crowd management measures.
Hospital authorities later restored the services after nearly an hour. By midday, OP operations resumed and functioned normally.
