AP: Pakala Beach Festival To Light Up Coast on February 14, 15

Nellore: Prakasam district is set to host a two-day Pakala Beach Festival on February 14 and 15, offering a blend of devotion, culture and entertainment.
Organised on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri, the festival will feature a traditional Sagara Harathi performed amid Vedic chants. Cultural programmes will include Kommu Koya, Tappetagullu, Dappu, Kalika and Puliveshalu dances, creating a carnival-like atmosphere along the coast.
Popular television anchor Suma, artistes from the Jabardasth show and orchestra teams will provide entertainment. Large sand sculptures themed on “Swarna Andhra 2047” and Lord Shiva are expected to be major attractions, followed by a fireworks display over the beach.
Adventure activities such as speed boat and jet ski rides, beach volleyball and kabaddi have also been arranged. Fifty trained swimmers will be deployed to ensure safety.
Food courts serving regional and national cuisines, exhibition stalls, heli-tourism rides, horse and camel displays, medical camps, mobile toilets and tight police security arrangements have been put in place to ensure a safe and memorable event.
