AP: Minister Assures Equity in Bleeding Disorder Care
Minister pledges to improve diagnosis, treatment with a focus on women and girls’ needs.
Vijayawada: Minister for Health Satya Kumar Yadav assured equitable healthcare for all individuals with bleeding disorders in the wake of alleged persistent gender disparities in the diagnosis and treatment for hemophilia.
In a message to mark the occasion of World Hemophilia Day on Thursday, the minister said that the ‘World Hemophilia Day-2025’ is being observed with the theme ‘Access for All: Women and Girls Bleed Too’. He asserted that the theme of the day in 2025 would highlight the critical need for gender inclusive diagnosis and treatment, and added that they had prioritised strengthening the diagnostic infrastructure by ensuring availability of factory therapy and integrating gender-responsive protocols.
