VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh excise authorities have extended the last date and time for submission of applications for allotment of 40 bars including three from reserved category up to September 1 till 6 pm and the draw of lots will be held on September 2 at 8 am.

The state excise authorities in a statement issued here on Saturday stated that for bars with no application received, a re-notification will be issued to allot them again at a later date.

Meanwhile, on the last day of submission of applications along with payment of licence fee for allotment of bars on Friday night, a total of 1,698 applications in open category and 567 applications in reserved category were received. Of them, 1,675 applications received under open category are found to be eligible for conduct of draw of lots for 388 bars out of a total noticed 840 bars in open category and similarly, 564 applications under reserved category are found to be eligible for conduct of drawal of lots for 78 bars out of a total notified 84 bars for Geetha Kulalau.

Accordingly, the District Collectors in respective districts conducted the drawal of lots on Saturday at 8.00 am for a total of 466 bars (388+78) out of total notified bars of 924 (840+84) and completed the selection process and intimations have been communicated to the successful applicants in drawal of lots.

District wise allotment of total bars include: Anakapalli-2, Anantapur-12, Annamayya-8, Bapatla-4, Chittoor-5, Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema-1, East Godavari-9, Eluru-10, Guntur-52, Kakinada-4, Krishna-30, Kurnool-19, Nandyal-18, NTR Vijayawada-72, Palnadu-23, Prakasam-21, PVP Manyam-4, Nellore-21, Sri Satya Sai-7, Srikakulam-5, Tirupati-26, Visakhapatnam-67, Vizianagaram-14, West Godavari-18 and YSR Kadapa-14.
