Kakinada: Union Minister for renewable energy Shripad Yesso Naik said Andhra Pradesh had made steady progress in utilising solar energy schemes, achieving 1,454.86 MW of ground-mounted solar energy capacity.
Replying to a question raised by Rajya Sabha member Sana Satish, the minister said that with Union government support, 3,300 MW solar parks were under development. Rooftop solar connections had been extended to 38,000 families, and 1 lakh agriculture pumps had been sanctioned under the PM-KUSUM scheme.
