Tirupati:Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday introduced two families and mentors who will take care of the former under the Public-Private-People-Partnership (P4) initiative at a public interaction held in Tirupati. He underlined that this model of Telugu Desam Party’s governance will continue as a core programme of the coalition government.

Addressing a large gathering at his Praja Vedika event, the AP CM reiterated that the P4 framework is aimed at supporting vulnerable families through structured mentorship involving philanthropic individuals and organisations. He noted that while individual help can reach a few, a focused policy backed by public and private participation has the potential to improve the lives of many.

Chandrababu Naidu said the process of assigning mentors for select “golden families” will be completed by August 15.

During the programme, he introduced Vineetha, a student who lost both parents and is now being brought up by her grandparents along with her two younger siblings. Vineetha, who completed her Intermediate education with more than 98 per cent in the BiPC stream, wants to become a doctor.

Tirupati Rotary Club, led by its president Rajendra Chetty, will mentor Vineetha and her family, apart from supporting the education of all the three children.

The Chief Minister presented another family led by Eswari, a widow raising two children after her husband’s death. Eswari expressed interest in taking up skill training to support her family. Srinivasulu from the Rashtriya Seva Samithi (RASS), Tirupati, assured assistance to her for undergoing training in beautician services, along with educational support for her children.

Chandrababu Naidu underlined that all such mentors should take their responsibilities seriously. He asserted that he would personally review the progress of the mentorship programme after a year.

Those who participated in the programme included ministers Anagani Satya Prasad and Dr. Ponguru Narayana, apart from district collector Dr. S. Venkateswar and senior officials.
