AP, Chhattisgarh Striving To Root Out Maoists, Says CM Vishnu Deo Sai

KAKINADA: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai underlined that both Andhra Pradesh and his state are striving to root out Maoist extremism, which is detrimental to the development of India.
After unveiling the statue of the late former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Rajamahendravaram on Sunday, the Chhattisgarh CM said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union Home minister Amit Shah have given a call for elimination of Moist extremism.
“All steps are being taken in this direction. The development of Chhattisgarh had been hampered by Maoists. In future, it will not happen,” Vishnu Deo Sai maintained.
He felt that Andhra Pradesh is also moving in the right direction with the alliance government in place. “The distance between the two states gas reduced. Development programmes are being carried out to bring minds together,” he underlined.
In this context, the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister said the great River Godavari unites the two states. He is feeling at home in Rajamahendravaram and Andhra Pradesh, he stated.
Expressing happiness over unveiling the former PM’s statue, Vishnu Deo Sai said with the inspiration of Vajpayee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is taking the country on the path of development. As a result, India has reached the fourth position in the global economy. He expressed his gratitude to AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan over unveiling of Vajpayee’s statues in Andhra Pradesh. He thanked the BJP state President P.V.N. Madhav for inviting him to unveil the statue.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, union Steel and Heavy Industries minister B. Srinivasa Varma underlined that political journeys of Vajpayee and party senior leader L.K. Advani are part of history. They have paved the path for the nation’s development.
Medical, Health and Family Welfare minister Y. Satya Kumar Yadav recalled that Vajpayee had been responsible for establishing the All-India Institute of Medical and Sciences in seven states.
MLC Somu Veerraju said there is a street named after Vajpayee in Pakistan too, which proves the former prime minister’s greatness.
Those present on the occasion included Rajamahendravaram MP D. Purandeswari, BJP state president Madhav and MLAs Adireddy Srinivas and N. Ramakrishna Reddy.
